Diwali Family Day at Dandenong Market

Date: 22 October at 10:00–16:00

On Sunday 22 October, Dandenong Market is celebrating the Festival of Lights with a fun day of free entertainment for the whole family (from 10am – 4pm).

Visitors to the market can enjoy traditional dances including Bollywood-inspired performances. There will also be a delicious array of food trucks and stalls to help you indulge. Visitors to the Market can experience traditional Indian customs including with free henna hand painting.

All Diwali activities and performances are free.

Sundays at the Market include free parking.

From the 12th to the 21st of October, 2017, the first ever FESTIVAL OF LIGHTS will turn Barkly Village into a shining display of lights and art. Come down to experience a feast for your eyes between 12 to 20 October 2017, where shop fronts in Barkly Village will be lit up and colorfully decorated. Businesses and buildings will become the scene for breathtaking lights and Colorful arts on the Street, leading into the final day Diwali Celebrations on 21 October 2017 highlighting the stories and tradition of rich Indian Culture. Its a unique opportunity to participate in India’s largest Annual Diwali Celebration here in Melbourne.
