 The Hare Krishna Temple in Melbourne was consecrated by the movement’s founder Bhakthi Vedanda Swami Prabhupada in 1975. The movement was established to promote the culture of Bhakthi yoga to all. The name Krishna means “the all attractive supreme person”. Hare Krishna movement believes that the recommended process of purifying the mind in this age of Kaliyuga is by chanting and meditating upon the holy names of Lord Krishna.
The ISKON (International Society for Krishna Consciousness) temple in Melbourne located at Albert Park is open daily from 4:30 am to 9:30pm.
The basic format of the daily program is to chant Krishna’s names, to discuss Krishna conscious philosophy and to eat delicious foods offered to Krishna. The daily temple schedule revolves around Deity worship.

Hare Krishna Valley

Nestled in the foothills of the beautiful Otway Ranges, Hare Krishna Valley provides the ideal setting for a country getaway . Situated on a two hundred acres of bushland and surrounded by the State Forests , this is the perfect place to relax and unwind.
The Sunday feast is from 12:00 noon on the second Sunday of each month. Hare Krishna here practises cow protection and are developing bio dynamic farming practises within an ecologically sustainable infrastructure.
Hare Krishna Valley provides bed and breakfast facilities ; retreat and group bookings are available
