Holi has become a major celebration in Australia among the Indians. In Sydney majority of these celebrations are funded by Councils or the State Government and the entry is free. Holi is a Spring Festival and its origin is considered as a thanks giving for a good harvest. The festival lasts for a night and a day, starting on the evening of the full moon day in the month of Phalgun.
