Bombay talkies: Free film screening and Q&A with Ajay Sinha at NSW Art Gallery

Celebrating 100 Years of Hindi Cinema

 

Join us for a free screening of ‘Bombay talkies’ (2013), an acclaimed anthology film by four well-known Bollywood filmmakers. Directors Zoya Akhtar, Dibakar Banerjee, Karan Johar and Anurag Kashyap offer four experimental narratives which explore the rich cinematic traditions of the cinema city of Bombay (Mumbai). The film was released on 3 May 2013 to celebrate the 100th year of Indian cinema and the beginning of a new era in modern cinema.

The screening of Bombay talkies will be followed by a Q&A session with Professor Ajay Sinha as part of the Sydney Asian Art Series.
