History of the Gurdwara
The Sikh Sangat has been active in Brisbane, since 1981 as families used to gather at Camp Hill School of Arts for congregation. From 1982 onwards regular congregations were held at a rented hall at Blind Welfare Association in Woolloongabba.
Foundation stone for a permanent place of worship was laid on 1988 at the current site at Logan Road, Eight Mile Plains. The Sikh Congregation was moved to the newly constructed temple in the same year.
