The Division of Menzies is located in Melbourne’s eastern suburbs. It covers an area of approximately 125 sq km from Bulleen in the west to Wonga Park in the east. Jag Chuga is the liberal candidate for the Victorian seat of Scullin . He holds qualifications of Bachelor of Laws, Bachelor of Commerce and Masters of Laws. Jag is a practicing lawyer for over 15 years and is currently Senior Counsel at a top 100 ASX listed company.
The Division of Scullin is located north-east of Melbourne. It covers an area of approximately 169 sq km from Epping in the west to Wattle Glen and Hurstbridge in the east. The main suburbs include Diamond Creek, Epping, Lalor, Mill Park, Plenty, Watsonia North, Wattle Glen, Yarrambat and parts of Bundoora, Greensborough, Hurstbridge, South Morang, Thomastown and Wollert.
The Division has been a safe seat for the Australian Labor Party since its inception. The Division has been held by two generations of the Jenkins family. Harry Jenkins, Sr. was the Speaker of the Australian House of Representatives from 1983 to 1986. His son Harry Jenkins was Deputy Speaker from 1993–1996, second Deputy Speaker from 1996–2007 and was Speaker from 2007 until 2011.

Bill Gupta is the candidate for the Victorian Seat of Batman fielded by 21st Century Australia Party .
The Division of Batman is located in Melbourne’s northern suburbs. It covers an area of approximately 66 sq km from Thomastown/Bundoora in the north to Clifton Hill in the south, with Merri Creek providing the vast majority of the western boundary and Darebin Creek, parts of Macleod and Plenty Road Bundoora providing the eastern boundary. The suburbs of Alphington, Bundoora (part), Clifton Hill, Coburg North (part), Fairfield, Kingsbury, Macleod (part), Northcote, Preston, Reservoir, Thomastown (part) and Thornbury are in this division.
On these boundaries it was one of the safest seats in Australia for the Australian Labor Party, which has held the seat for all but six years since 1910. However, at the 2010 election the Greens overtook the Liberals on preferences and came second against Labor, reducing the seat to a “fairly safe” Labor seat

Binoy Kampmark
Dr Binoy Kampmark teaches core legal courses within the Legal and Dispute Studies program for the Bachelor of Social Science at RMIT University. He has written extensively on these topics in both refereed journals and more popular media. Binoy holds a PhD in history from the University of Cambridge. He also holds a Masters degree in history, and honours degrees in Arts and Law from the University of Queensland. Binoy’s research and teaching interests lie in the intersections of law, international relations and history.
Suresh Rajan
Suresh Rajan has had a distinguished career in economics as well as having been a vigorous advocate for ethnic communities and people with disabilities. He served for several years as head of the Ethnic Communities Council of WA and is currently the President of the National Ethnic Disability Alliance, the peak body for the CaLD Disability organisations in Australia. Suresh holds a Bachelor of Commerce with a double major (Management and Accounting) and a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Western Australia, and is a regular commentator on television and radio in his role as a financial planner and economist.

Alex Bathal is Greens candidate for the seat of Batman. Alex Bhathal is a social worker with longstanding involvement in community building, social justice and human rights advocacy, and environmental activism.She lives in South Preston, in the geographic heart of the electorate of Batman, with her two young sons and husband. Alex has been a member of the Australian Greens since 2001. She has served as Welfare Spokesperson for the Greens in Victoria and as National Climate Campaigner during 2011. Alex also served as Australian Greens International Co-Secretary in 2012, helping to coordinate Australia’s contribution to the success of the third Global Greens Congress in Dakar, Senegal.

Nihal Samara
Nihal Samara is the liberal candidate for the seat of Lalor.
Nihal Samara grew up in Footscray where he lived with his family. After high school Nihal went on to complete a Bachelor of Science, Masters of Public Health and Juris Doctor (Laws) at Monash University. Nihal has worked for a number of local charities and is currently the General Counsel & Legal Director of Kaizen Synergy. In this role, he has provided advice to health and educational institutions covering just about every legal issue. Having been a part of the Western Suburbs electorate all of his life, Nihal understands what issues concern local residents and will fight to get more things for Lalor. In particular, Nihal will fight for local businesses and jobs and to ease the burden on families by abolishing the carbon tax. Nihal is also determined to work hard to secure more funding for roads, health and education. With the support of his wife Monique and his family, Nihal believes that he has the skills, experience and dedication to represent the Local people both locally and in Canberra.
The Division of Lalor is located to the south-west of Melbourne. It covers an area of approximately 546 sq km. Lalor is a rapidly expanding area extending from Port Phillip Bay inland. The main suburbs include part of Altona Meadows and Truganina and all of Hoppers Crossing, Laverton, Laverton North, Little River, Point Cook, Seabrook, Tarneit, Werribee, Werribee South, Williams Landing and Wyndham Vale. Rural areas of Eynesbury (part), Mount Cottrell (part), Quandong, Mambourin and Cocoroc are also included.
