Indian IT worker Pankaj Saw falls to death in Sydney

29 year old Indian National Pankaj Saw, fell from a top- floor balcony and died in Sydney’s North – West on 2nd April 2015 at around 1:00 am.

He was living in an apartment block on 21 Cottonwood Crescent in Macquarie Park in Sydney, from where he has fallen to death. He was on phone speaking to a family member in India, when the incident happened.

He has arrived in Australia from India only a few weeks back after getting married.

Mr Saw was in Australia on a long-stay work visa, and had been working on and off in Sydney in recent years. Mr Saw returned to Australia in March after spending six months in India, where he got married.

It is assumed that Pankaj leaned back on one of the wooden balcony railings and it came loose. Investigators are examining whether a structural fault have caused the Mr Saw to fall.

The balcony railing and a cordless handset phone were still lying below the unit on Thursday morning as friends and colleagues gathered near the apartment.

Pankaj was working as a systems support analyst for an IT firm which carried out outsourcing work for Optus.

The 29 year old had been recently married and was in the process of bringing his wife to Australia.
