Mr B. Vanlalvawna assumed charge as the new Consul General of India in Sydney on 19th February 2016. His previous stint was as Director looking after Administration and Human Resource related issues in the Ministry of External Affairs.
In 1998 he joined Indian Foreign Service. He enjoys wealth of experience in foreign service and served in overseas missions in Tokyo, Shanghai, Brussels and Cairo.
Mr Vanlalvawna is married to Dr. Rosy L Khuma, a medical doctor and a writer. They have three children
